Janet with laptopWelcome to the New Year and welcome to the exchange of our worlds!

Yes, we all may live on one planet, but there are over 7 billion worlds here. Each human being lives in their own world made of memories, experiences, proclivities, talents, traumas, curiosities, fears… well, you get the picture.

And no two worlds are alike. Hearing that we’re all unique – like a snowflake – sounds a bit cliché, but it’s pretty mind-blowing to know that no human being ever has been or ever will be exactly like you.

It’s no wonder why our worlds so often collide with each other is the most delightful and horrifying ways. The question isn’t why do we have so many horrifying collisions. Given all the “worlds” filled with anger, judgment, shame, insecurity, and fear, the real question is how is it that we don’t have a whole lot more!

The answer to that question resides in the heart of who, or perhaps what, we truly are. Just as our many worlds share only one planet – this beautiful, intelligent home we call Earth – each of our worlds also share only one consciousness.

That consciousness is Love. Not merely the feeling of love which is far too changeable. I’m talking about Love that is the energy that breathes us. That Love is the Infinite Intelligence that flows through each and every one of us no matter what your outer shell looks like.

It is that Love which rises to the surface when we are called to be better versions of ourselves.

Let us all be better this year. Let’s clean up our own houses before we criticize and judge someone else’s house.

Let us all do our best to aim toward the highest good we can imagine, then do it. And as our worlds continue to inexorably collide, let us recognize each other through the inner eyes and heart of our true Oneness.

May we be at peace.
May our hearts remain open.
May we awaken to the light of our own true natures.
May we be healed.
May we be a source of healing to all beings.
